  • David Maddison

    Deputy Chief Executive


    David has been with RPMI since 1989 and in this time has built up a wealth of pensions industry experience. A fellow of the Pensions Management Institute with an LLB degree in Law, Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Director from the Institute of Directors, David is a recognised and respected pension expert.

    David’s responsibilities cover trustee and governance services, administration, communications, marketing, corporate finance, technical policy and client services for all clients of RPMI, both Rail and third party. David is also responsible for  the Finance functions for the group of companies.

  • Paul Brice

    Director of Trustee and Client Services


    Paul has worked in the pensions industry for the past nine years and has been with RPMI since September 2010. He is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment. Before his appointment, Paul was a Partner with a major firm of Chartered Accountants.

    Paul has extensive experience in corporate finance and restructuring and is responsible for this team within RPMI, providing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to employers and trustees regarding employer covenant related matters.  He is also responsible for a number of teams providing services to the sponsoring employers and Trustee of the Railways Pension Scheme and other schemes administered by RPMI.

  • Jonathan Clark

    Head of Customer Experience Management


    With over 16 years communications experience across multiple industries and with an MBA under his belt, Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and creativity to his role at RPMI.

    Jonathan has been with RPMI since 2008 and leads a team of communications specialists, including pensions technical, editorial, internal communications, graphic design and member communications experts.

  • Joanne Fradgley

    Trustee Scheme Accountant


    Joanne is a Chartered Accountant and has been with RPMI since 2007. During this time she has built up a wealth of pensions knowledge and expertise. Before joining RPMI, Joanne worked as an external auditor for a “big 4” accountancy firm conducting audits for multinational organisations, private limited companies and public sector bodies.

     In her role, Joanne looks after the finance function for the Trustee of our largest scheme, along with other schemes, and is responsible for a team of accounting experts that support this function and provide additional accounting services as required. This involves ensuring that the financial ledgers are accurate as well as producing the annual audited financial statements and overseeing the smooth running of the treasury function for our clients.

  • Jenifer Goodchild

    Head of Trustee Governance


    Jenifer took up the role of Head of Trustee Governance at RPMI in June 2012, with a background as a Client Services Manager and Senior Pensions Administrator having worked with the railways pension schemes at RPMI since 2001. She is Company Secretary to the Railways Pension Trustee Company Limited (RPTCL) and acts as Secretary for the largest section of the Railways Pension Scheme, the 1994 Pensioners Section. Jenifer is RPMI’s Executive Lead for RPTCL’s Defined Contribution Committee.

    Jenifer has a wealth of knowledge and experience of pensions matters and is responsible for the good governance of RPTCL and its various Committees. Providing advice to Trustee Directors individually and collectively, Jenifer ensures that the Trustee, Pensions Committees and Management Committees of the railways pension schemes have the right structures, people, training and administrative support in place to enable effective and efficient decision-making. She is responsible for overseeing the Trustee’s compliance with all its statutory, regulatory, constitutional and fiduciary duties.

    Jenifer is a graduate in English Literature and is a Diploma Member of the Pensions Management Institute, also holding the PMI Retirement Provision Certificate and Award in Pension Trusteeship. Jenifer is an Affiliate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

  • Liz Jordinson

    Head of Client Services - Rail


    Liz has overall responsibility for the Rail Client Services team as well as looking after a number of key clients and acting as Secretary to Pensions Committees and to the Trustee Case Committee.

    She has worked in the pensions industry since 1989 and has experience across a number of roles at RPMI, starting as an administrator, before becoming a supervisor and team leader and subsequently joining the Client Services team.

    Liz is an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute, holds the Pensions Management Institute Retirement Provision Diploma and the Trustee Certificate of Essential Pensions Knowledge.


  • Bruce Marsden

    Pensions Policy Director


    Bruce joined RPMI in 2003 and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. He has over 25 years’ experience in all areas of occupational pensions and is responsible for managing the valuation process for our largest client.

    Bruce and his team work with staff from across the business and external professional advisors to guide clients through the valuation process.

  • Nigel Oakley

    Head of Technical Services


    Nigel has been with RPMI since 2010 and has 25 years of experience in the pensions industry. As a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, Nigel has also held a wide range of actuarial, consulting and technical roles.

    Nigel’s role involves providing technical knowledge and advice to a range of clients and producing regular technical e-newsletters for clients and staff.
